The Bi-alfa cobalt extreme M51 bandsaw blade has an alloyed steel backing with high chromium content together with a HSSCo-M51 (contains 12% cobalt) cutting edge.
Due to the cobalt and tungsten content of the cutting tips, the blade has a high thermal and mechanical wear resistance which increases the blade life, especially when cutting long cross sections.
The hook tooth has a positive cutting angle of 10°. This tooth form is particularly suitable for cutting solid, thick-walled tubes and all higher-grade alloy material.
The M51 Bi-metal bandsaw blade is developed for large scale industrial applications and hard-to-cut materials such as Titanium and tempered steels.
Band Widths from 27mm-67mm

Makes nice smooth cuts in a range of materials, and runs much more smoothly than the crappy, brittle blade that my bandsaw came with
a great item that I need very quickly. The price is very good. I will buy these again!
They are best for metals such as steel or iron. The cutting edge is wavy, so it makes wider cuts.
So far no complaints. They cut very well and stay sharp longer than the brand that came with my portaband.
So I just got them delivered and haven’t tried them yet but they seem like they will do the job.
Starting width of this blade is 27mm ( 1 inch ) to 67mm ( 2.6 inches ) so the answer is no. You can however go for the Bi-alfa cobalt m42 which comes in a 13mm width blade and is able to do the job just fine.
Benefits:
• reduced machine load
• more performance and efficiency
• greatly extended blade life
• micro-resistant cutting edge, resistant against interrupted cuts
Bi-metal blades have teeth with optimized hardness. This premium strength of the bi-metal teeth means that when cutting, the blade can maintain the edge, ensuring optimal flexibility without compromising resiliency or durability.
The M51 is engineered for use in heavy cutting applications for example High-alloy tool steels, stainless steels, cast iron, heat resistant steel alloys.
Materials with a hardness up to 50 HRc (1600 N/ mm²), etc.
