Chrome Bar Cutting Bandsaw Blades For Sale
  • Induction hardened chrome bar cutting bandsaw blades

Due to the extreme hardness of the induction hardened chrome bars, cutting them requires specially manufactured chrome bar cutting bandsaw blades. To protect the polished chrome surface, using softer materials like aluminium, copper, or mild steel as clamping materials is recommended. All particles of hard chrome should be immediately removed from the cutting surface simultaneously to avoid scratching.

Bandsaw Blades Designed For Cutting Induction Hardened Chrome Bars

While the bars are chrome plated for corrosion resistance, they are also heat-treated before being plated. This composition makes the bars extremely strong, and a chrome bar cutting bandsaw blade harder than the bar itself is required to cut through it.

Bandsaw blades manufactured at Sawblade.com.au are designed for long life and straight cuts. Our blades produce minimal vibrations and noise when cutting through induction hardened chrome bars. All these features make these blades much more suited for cutting chrome bars compared to bi-metal bandsaw blades.

Unlike bi-metal blades, bandsaw blades for cutting induction hardened chrome bars have higher wear resistance and heat resistance. The expertly designed tooth geometry makes the blades perfect for cutting difficult-to-machine metals and alloys.

5 Easy Steps to Build Your Own Sawblade

2. Great job, now select the Width

3. Select the Length (mm) (Round up to the Closest Increment)(Round up to the Closest Increment)

3. Now Enter the Exact Length in (mm) (Made to your Order)

Length is not correct, changed to maximum allow length.

4. Select the TPI (Teeth Per Inch)

The number of teeth per inch (TPI) defines the pitch of the blade and can vary from 1 to 32 tpi.

On some blades there are different pitches on the same blade. You must select the correct tpi for the thickness of material you are cutting. If the corrrect tpi is not chosen the blade life will be dramatically shortened.

The general rule of thumb is: For wood and soft materials aim ffor 3-6 teeth in the work piece.
